So, based on an earlier conversation, I install Morpheus, in the interest of being a bad person and downloading shizzle. When it comes right down to it, there's not a lot I want out of life, but one of those things I hardcore lust after happens to be Korean music. Now, keep in mind, I know exactly Jacques Merde of the Korean language; I read it phonetically with great difficulty, understand it barely at all.

And I'm in IRC fecking around, mostly just idling, talking on AIM or browsing forums, but I get done with that because I have A Project(tm). So I ask the kind and loving folks in IRC if they know a way I can type in Korean, for I am computer illiterate, and I can walk boldly into the druggist's on the corner, and say...wait, where was I going? Oh right, not Protestantism or condoms as discussed by a Monty Python skit, believe it or not. So someone (Moot, if you were curious, who has my eternal gratitude) tells me what to do to make things type in Hanja, and much confusion and changing my gmail inbox into Korean later, I can now do it.

Unfortunately, I'm typing on an English keyboard. And the Hanja aren't mapped in anything like a sensical way. The whole fecking thing, just well nigh fnord'd. The P key is a vowel, A is M, T is probably the elevator shoes key, I can't type for bollocks here. So I pull up the character map, and screw around with it, and oh so carefully browse through EVERY syllable in the Korean language, sorted by starting letter, until I find each syllable of what I want to type. Which, in case you were wondering, is Space A. Space A is wonderful, I would own all of their music, except it's unavailable in the US, even by special order, hence the downloading. So I'm not as bad a person as all that, actually.

Copy paste, search, and within minutes Morpheus has found...What the name of godfuck? Masta Killa feat. Ol' Dirty Bastard?!?! What is this shite?! Decidedly not Korean. Has nothing to do with anything I searched. Not a drop of Korean music to be had, no matter what excessively Herculean labors to which I might set myself. I guess I can download American music, and that will keep me pretty entertained. I can also set up an email account using Korean characters, to which none of my English-speaking friends can reply manually, that would be pretty amusing. Of course I'm bored enough that I'm entering into debates with male supremacists and cockfighting afficianados, as well as putting in LJ tags and labeling all the music in my playlist, so I'm obviously hard up for any form of entertainment.

Despite this setback in my Kuest for Krap, I'm in a pretty good mood. I got all my Netflix crap today, including Eddie Izzard's "Glorious", which was thoroughly enjoyable. I remarked earlier that he's like a British, cross-dressing Robin Williams. Sort of. If you squint. Fine, I give up on that analogy. Anyway, I'm now a lot less likely to wangst about things, fire off any more angry emails to the mayor of San Francisco or my ex, or put a vegetable through anyone's vital organs. Ok, so with me, there's always the chance, but what's a little corncob through the kidneys among friends?

Oh yeah, ganked this from [livejournal.com profile] lykomancer:
This is the problem with LJ, we all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other. I'm going to rectify it. I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about.

Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.
