Yeah, it's almost two and I still haven't showered. Yeah, I have work at 9:00 tomorrow, followed by work from 10-12, followed by class from 1:15-4:00. YAY TUESDAYS. At least I'm a draft animal.

I'm being a good studious Druidy-thing. And I just made my bed :D it still looks like a barbarian sleeps in it though ^_~ THAT'S BECAUSE I DO

My androgyne pangolin character has a mortal name: Irrepresentible in English, but phonetically-ish Sah-teh. Lunar name will be something about fire or sparks or flames...like Sings With Flames or something. Still working on it. Good ideas about backstory, but haven't bothered to write them down and send them to [livejournal.com profile] armyofautomata yet. I'm busy, yo. Yeah, Zach got LJ. WHOO HOO mostly pointless pasttimes. C'mon now only Ian is left.

I draw crazy genderless shamans in the margins during Varieties of Early Christianity. YEAH.

I'm sorry I'm never in my room or available by phone. Really, I am. Lessthanthree [livejournal.com profile] squirrelsamurai even though you are a hobitch. Also the phone keeps dying.

My latest inspiration is a Welsh Myth tarot deck. Starting with Gwion Bach the Fool and going from there. Maybe the four branches could be tweaked to be the Minor Arcana, like four stories used in the Mythic Tarot, but I highly highly doubt it. Just too neat and even. I think this is an appropriate Druidic project; I'll formally begin on Imbolc. Also appropriate for someone who is feeling increasingly drawn to Vatic sorts of practices; I'm thinking about moving on from Bard. Not that my focus on creativity, history, and all that are any less, but I'm not feeling as connected to the ideals of /creation/. If anything I would almost pursue some kind of Asatru-esque thing; I destroy. Perhaps balance is in order. Or perhaps I just need to learn how to create betterer. Durrrr. In any case, I show an interest in divination, herbalism, cooking, and general ovatery (I know that's not a word, eat me) that was not originally present.

Also, there was an interesting post made to [livejournal.com profile] bad_rpers_suck earlier about gay characters in fantasy settings. Unfortunately it got BALEETED, but it was intriguing because several people made the point that while homosexuality wasn't as stigmatised in some time periods that would be appropriate for adapting to a fantasy setting as it is today or elsewhen, it also wasn't an /identity/ as such. You slept with/loved/whatever who you slept with/loved/whatever; it was a function of /action/ not /identity/. So while yes, people of the same sex were getting it on, they weren't "gay" because there was no "gay" identity to be. People worry about labels way too much, but that's not news. I'm not sure I even still agree with the idea of gender-preference being any more binding and pertinent an issue than hair-colour-preference, but I'm a bit biased anyway. It just seems like to me that once you make one minor aspect of your identity a HUGE THING you've got a chip on your shoulder, but in the case of homosexuality, chips might be needed, since, oh GAYS STILL AREN'T ACCEPTABLE. So I'm...undecided on the necessity of "gay" as an identity. Hmph.

Why aren't there classes in things that are interesting, like this? Oh wait...college is like one of those "Pick your Path" books, and I just got eaten by alligators. Fuckall.
