I've been reading Rudyard Kipling. A)This is a huge revisitation of my past and B)it's also really fucking cool. I love...reading people use "thee" and "thou", especially when one of those "people" is a giant fuck-off black panther. Man, the Disney movie and that other one were so fucked up. The Jungle Books totally rock hardcorestyle, and The White Seal does too. Hell, the poem I ganked for my LJ is from him, and the line of a poem that is my LJ title now as well. Kipline was the Donaldson of my childhood.

"Of such poor love as wild ones may" Well, I'm decidedly feral. Pagan beast, and all. And I certainly feel like I have precious little to offer right now, in the way of love or anything else. I know the urge to customize my LJ was entirely melodramatic and silly; I was poking fun at myself and my choice of username, and it was enjoyable. "Narcissisma" is a pisspoor name for someone as remarkably unnarcissistic as I tend to feel. And yet...

As to the other poem, well, it's cool, and it mentions ripples. In keeping with the Narcissus theme, and with a personal analogy of mine lately. Don't ask; just let me keep throwing my rocks.

All these damn holidays. Seems like we have one a week these days. And it sucks. Kenny is here, and the mail doesn't run, so no new movies or new labret retainer.

Oh, and by the way? Any one who can tell me where my name comes from (not Narcissisma, but the LJ name you can change) gets the free astrologyin', albeit slowly. Figuring out a good way to format and type such is the main problem, that and my extreme suckage at math. But I'm really just curious to see if that reference is totally a shot in the dark /influencedbyFranzFerdinandlyrics

Ok, look at this post in the boring, white-and-blue default mode, where it lets you reply and everything. See the name of the person who posted it (in this case, me)? Now see next to it, another name, that /isn't/ in link format? Yours, by default, is still luna_ozymandias, so it says your name twice. Mine says something else, and then narcissisma.
